Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Basoeki Abdullah achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Nude sold for HKD 475,000.00 (€ 53,515.86) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 220,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Basoeki Abdullah; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Gunung Salak (Mountain Salak) sold at auction in May 2006 with the realized price of HKD 900,000.00 (€ 90,399.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Basoeki Abdullah erzielte im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Nude für HKD 475.000,00 (€ 53.515,86) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 220.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Basoeki Abdullah; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Gunung Salak (Mountain Salak) im Mai 2006 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 900.000,00 (€ 90.399,75).
