Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Studies For Sculptural Series: Identified, Classified, Catalogued by Barry Le Va was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2019. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,283.73). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Barry Le Va - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Three works: (i) Double Drawing; (ii) Untitled (feld & glas); (iii) Sheets to Strips to Particles, which sold at auction in February 2019 for USD 22,500.00 (€ 19,773.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Studies For Sculptural Series: Identified, Classified, Catalogued von Barry Le Va kam im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.283,73) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Barry Le Va mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Three works: (i) Double Drawing; (ii) Untitled (feld & glas); (iii) Sheets to Strips to Particles beobachtet, die im Februar 2019 für USD 22.500,00 (€ 19.773,27) versteigert wurde.
