Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2013 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Photographies, which included the work Etude Pour Vogue, 1918-21Vintage Silver Print, Flush-Mounted To Original Card. Titled And Dated In Pencil On A Slip Of Card Mounted With The Print. Mounted And Framed. by Adolphe de Meyer. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adolphe de Meyer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Water Lilies in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 142,524.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2013 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Photographies durch, in der auch die Arbeit Etude Pour Vogue, 1918-21Vintage Silver Print, Flush-Mounted To Original Card. Titled And Dated In Pencil On A Slip Of Card Mounted With The Print. Mounted And Framed. von Adolphe de Meyer zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adolphe de Meyer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Water Lilies im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 142.524,47).
