Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Olga de Meyer, c. 1900 by Adolphe de Meyer was sold in the The Face of the Century: Photographs from a Private Collection auction at Christies in New York in April 2019. The price achieved of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,571.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adolphe de Meyer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Water Lilies in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 142,524.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Olga de Meyer, c. 1900 von Adolphe de Meyer wurde im April 2019 in der Auktion The Face of the Century: Photographs from a Private Collection bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.571,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adolphe de Meyer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Water Lilies im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 142.524,47).
