A top price for Adolphe de Meyer - as previously expected
The work Water Lilies by Adolphe de Meyer was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 142,524.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Water Lilies is the most expensive artwork by Adolphe de Meyer that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Water Lilies von Adolphe de Meyer kam im Oktober 2017 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 142.524,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Water Lilies das teuerste Kunstwerk von Adolphe de Meyer, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
