Sold at the upper estimate price
In July 2020 Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work THE TWINS by Barnaby Furnas. The auction ended at the price of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,308.48), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Barnaby Furnas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hamburger Hill in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 422,500.00 (€ 293,892.60).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2020 führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit THE TWINS von Barnaby Furnas zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.308,48) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Barnaby Furnas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hamburger Hill im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 422.500,00 (€ 293.892,60).
