Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Barlow Moore could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the MARITIME AND NAVAL BATTLES auction, the work The racing yacht Freda: At the start; and At the finish changed hands for GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,530.09) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Other works by Barlow Moore have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in July 2007 by the work Storm, Fishing Boat Passing The Elbe, Lightvessel at GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,990.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Barlow Moore konnte im November 2003 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion MARITIME AND NAVAL BATTLES wechselte die Arbeit The racing yacht Freda: At the start; and At the finish für GBP 1.762,50 (€ 2.530,09) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Barlow Moore wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juli 2007 die Arbeit Storm, Fishing Boat Passing The Elbe, Lightvessel mit GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.990,38).
