Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Barlow Moore could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Maritime & Naval Battles (Pictures) auction, the work Schooners and yachts racing changed hands for GBP 480.00 (€ 706.35) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by Barlow Moore have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Storm, Fishing Boat Passing The Elbe, Lightvessel in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,990.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Barlow Moore konnte im Mai 2007 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Maritime & Naval Battles (Pictures) wechselte die Arbeit Schooners and yachts racing für GBP 480,00 (€ 706,35) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Barlow Moore auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Storm, Fishing Boat Passing The Elbe, Lightvessel im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.990,38).
