In October 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Transposition 3 by Barbara Kasten. The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,970.00 (€ 10,277.32), 50% above the upper estimate. Other works by Barbara Kasten have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,132.88) in March 2019 for the work Double Negative 6.

Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Transposition 3 von Barbara Kasten zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 11.970,00 (€ 10.277,32) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Barbara Kasten haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.132,88) im März 2019 für die Arbeit Double Negative 6 beobachtet.
