Auction result misses estimated price range
In December this year a collector was able to acquire the work Construct IV B by Barbara Kasten for USD 2,560.00 (€ 2,314.23). This price was achieved in the auction The Gift of Photographs at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Barbara Kasten have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Double Negative 6 in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,132.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Construct IV B von Barbara Kasten für USD 2.560,00 (€ 2.314,23) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Gift of Photographs bei Bonhams in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Barbara Kasten auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Double Negative 6 im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.132,88).
