Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2007 Phillips in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Part II, which included the work Sea by Bae Bien-U. The price achieved of USD 51,400.00 (€ 34,994.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bae Bien-U - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sonamu SNM3A-004 & Sonamu SNM3A-002, which sold at auction in May 2007 for HKD 1,080,000.00 (€ 102,838.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2007 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sea von Bae Bien-U zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 51.400,00 (€ 34.994,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Bae Bien-U mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sonamu SNM3A-004 & Sonamu SNM3A-002 beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für HKD 1.080.000,00 (€ 102.838,03) versteigert wurde.
