Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pine Tree by Bae Bien-U was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 65,000.00 – 85,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 68,500.00 (€ 53,962.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Bae Bien-U have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2007 the work Sonamu SNM3A-004 & Sonamu SNM3A-002 was auctioned for HKD 1,080,000.00 (€ 102,838.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pine Tree von Bae Bien-U kam im November 2008 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 65.000,00 – 85.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 68.500,00 (€ 53.962,50) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Bae Bien-U konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2007 die Arbeit Sonamu SNM3A-004 & Sonamu SNM3A-002 für HKD 1.080.000,00 (€ 102.838,03) versteigert.
