Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Brothers by Badri Narayan was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2016. The price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,133.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Badri Narayan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 74,500.00 (€ 52,908.17).

Die Arbeit The Brothers von Badri Narayan kam im März 2016 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.133,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Badri Narayan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 74.500,00 (€ 52.908,17).
