Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (Still Life) by B. Vithal. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,400.41) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by B. Vithal - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Horses), which sold at auction in September 2020 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 23,468.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Still Life) von B. Vithal zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.400,41) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von B. Vithal mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Horses) beobachtet, die im September 2020 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 23.468,17) versteigert wurde.
