Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reclining Brahamin by B. Vithal was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2007. The price achieved of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,063.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by B. Vithal - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Horses), which sold at auction in September 2020 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 23,468.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Reclining Brahamin von B. Vithal kam im Mai 2007 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.063,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von B. Vithal mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Horses) beobachtet, die im September 2020 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 23.468,17) versteigert wurde.
