Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Untitled (Nude) by B. Vithal. The price achieved of USD 3,780.00 (€ 3,476.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by B. Vithal have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Horses) in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 23,468.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Nude) von B. Vithal zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.780,00 (€ 3.476,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von B. Vithal auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Horses) im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 23.468,17).
