It achieved a price of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,160.70), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 31%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by B. Vithal - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Horses), which sold at auction in September 2020 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 23,468.17).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Portrait Of Prabha) von B. Vithal wurde im Juni 2009 in der Auktion Indian Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.160,70) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 31%. Für andere Arbeiten von B. Vithal mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Horses) beobachtet, die im September 2020 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 23.468,17) versteigert wurde.
