The work Horses by B. Vithal was sold in the Indian Art Including Miniatures & Modern Indian Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2006. The auction ended at the price of USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,729.25), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by B. Vithal have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Horses) in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 23,468.17).

Die Arbeit Horses von B. Vithal wurde im September 2006 in der Auktion Indian Art Including Miniatures & Modern Indian Paintings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 4.729,25) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von B. Vithal auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Horses) im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 23.468,17).
