Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by B. Vithal achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2007. In the Indian Art including Miniatures and Modern Paintings auction, the work Bull sold for USD 15,600.00 (€ 11,664.42) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by B. Vithal - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Horses), which sold at auction in September 2020 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 23,468.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von B. Vithal erzielte im März 2007 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Indian Art including Miniatures and Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Bull für USD 15.600,00 (€ 11.664,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von B. Vithal mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Horses) beobachtet, die im September 2020 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 23.468,17) versteigert wurde.
