Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fieber by Axel Krause was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,500.00 (€ 2,962.84) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Axel Krause - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kleiner Kriminalfilm, which sold at auction in December 2013 for EUR 8,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fieber von Axel Krause kam im September 2017 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.500,00 (€ 2.962,84) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Axel Krause mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Kleiner Kriminalfilm beobachtet, die im Dezember 2013 für EUR 8.750,00 versteigert wurde.
