Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Payarama "Belat Biru"... by Awang Damit Ahmad was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. The price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 13,189.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Awang Damit Ahmad have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Garis Mega (Iraga Series) in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 600,000.00 (€ 61,771.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Payarama "Belat Biru"... von Awang Damit Ahmad wurde im April 2018 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 13.189,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Awang Damit Ahmad auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Garis Mega (Iraga Series) im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 600.000,00 (€ 61.771,75).
