Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Essence of Culture Series by Awang Damit Ahmad. The price achieved of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 31,784.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 220,000.00 – 320,000.00. Other works by Awang Damit Ahmad have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2014 the work Garis Mega (Iraga Series) was auctioned for HKD 600,000.00 (€ 61,771.75).

Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Essence of Culture Series von Awang Damit Ahmad zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 31.784,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 220.000,00 – 320.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Awang Damit Ahmad konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2014 die Arbeit Garis Mega (Iraga Series) für HKD 600.000,00 (€ 61.771,75) versteigert.
