This artwork by Awang Damit Ahmad achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction, the work Garis Mega (Iraga Series) sold for HKD 600,000.00 (€ 61,771.75) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 220,000.00.
