The work Apa Khabar Ledang (Essence of Culture series) by Awang Damit Ahmad was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2015. The price achieved of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 51,334.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 350,000.00 – 500,000.00. Other works by Awang Damit Ahmad have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2014 the work Garis Mega (Iraga Series) was auctioned for HKD 600,000.00 (€ 61,771.75).
