In February 2020 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Black Mat and Dry Bread by Avigdor Arikha. The auction ended at the price of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 69,540.14), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Other works by Avigdor Arikha have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2017 the work Nude On A Sheet was auctioned for USD 162,500.00 (€ 135,168.86).

Im Februar 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Black Mat and Dry Bread von Avigdor Arikha zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 69.540,14) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Avigdor Arikha konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2017 die Arbeit Nude On A Sheet für USD 162.500,00 (€ 135.168,86) versteigert.
