Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Self-Portrait, Night by Avigdor Arikha was sold in the First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online auction at Christies in London in July 2020. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,855.98). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Avigdor Arikha achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nude On A Sheet in December 2017 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 135,168.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Self-Portrait, Night von Avigdor Arikha wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.250,00 (€ 5.855,98) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Avigdor Arikha erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nude On A Sheet im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 135.168,86).
