signed 'A. Rodin' (at the bottom of his cape) and stamped with the foundry mark 'Alexis.Rudier Fondeur.PARIS' (on the side of the base); with the raised signature 'A. Rodin' (on the underside)
bronze with black-brown patina

Conceived between 1887 and 1895, and cast in bronze by Alexis Rudier, Paris, in 1945
