Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work New York Drawing by Ashley Bickerton for USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,467.90). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ashley Bickerton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Seascape: Floating Costume to Drift for Eternity II in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 221,000.00 (€ 162,428.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit New York Drawing von Ashley Bickerton für USD 10.000,00 (€ 9.467,90) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ashley Bickerton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Seascape: Floating Costume to Drift for Eternity II im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 221.000,00 (€ 162.428,34).
