The result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 47,339.52) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ashley Bickerton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Seascape: Floating Costume to Drift for Eternity II, which sold at auction in November 2013 for USD 221,000.00 (€ 162,428.34).
