This artwork by Arturo Luz achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2006. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Estudiantina (Travelling Musician) sold for HKD 660,000.00 (€ 64,004.22) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 280,000.00. Admittedly, works by Arturo Luz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Candle Vendors in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 2,920,000.00 (€ 276,848.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Arturo Luz erzielte im November 2006 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Estudiantina (Travelling Musician) für HKD 660.000,00 (€ 64.004,22) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 280.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arturo Luz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Candle Vendors im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.920.000,00 (€ 276.848,45).
