In the Photographs auction, the work Dust Storm, Cimmaron County, Oklahoma, 1936 sold for USD 5,760.00 (€ 4,540.08) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Arthur Rothstein have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Farmer and sons walking in the face of a dust storm, Cimarron County, Oklahoma in April 2001 with an auction result of USD 23,500.00 (€ 26,481.86).
