Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Steady, Woodcock Shooting by Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait was sold in the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2015. The price achieved of USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,225.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Check--Keep Your Distance in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 2,841,000.00 (€ 1,934,232.03).
