Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 10,710.00 (€ 9,863.69). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Check--Keep Your Distance in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 2,841,000.00 (€ 1,934,232.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A Misty Morning von Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait kam im Januar diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 10.710,00 (€ 9.863,69) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Check--Keep Your Distance im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.841.000,00 (€ 1.934.232,03).
