In the Stewards of the West: The Knobloch Collection auction, the work Grouse Family sold for USD 107,100.00 (€ 99,804.31) - well above the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Check--Keep Your Distance in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 2,841,000.00 (€ 1,934,232.03).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Stewards of the West: The Knobloch Collection wurde die Arbeit Grouse Family für USD 107.100,00 (€ 99.804,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Check--Keep Your Distance im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.841.000,00 (€ 1.934.232,03).
