Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Quail by Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,250.00 (€ 9,131.49) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Check--Keep Your Distance in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 2,841,000.00 (€ 1,934,232.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Quail von Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 9.131,49) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Check--Keep Your Distance im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.841.000,00 (€ 1.934.232,03).
