Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study of a young child by Arthur Beecher Carles was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,020.00 (€ 803.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Beecher Carles achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composition in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 221,000.00 (€ 177,681.30).

Die Arbeit Study of a young child von Arthur Beecher Carles kam im September 2006 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.020,00 (€ 803,97) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Beecher Carles erzielen.
