The work Study for the Betrothal by Arshile Gorky was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2019. The auction ended at the price of USD 200,000.00 (€ 181,504.67), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arshile Gorky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Charred Beloved I in November this year with an auction result of USD 23,410,000.00 (€ 21,461,312.80).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Study for the Betrothal von Arshile Gorky kam im November 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 181.504,67) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arshile Gorky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Charred Beloved I im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 23.410.000,00 (€ 21.461.312,80).
