Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Moody Tongue by Antonio Santin was auctioned at Christies in London in October last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 63,000.00 (€ 73,394.30) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Antonio Santin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vox Populi, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 277,200.00 (€ 258,317.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Moody Tongue von Antonio Santin kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 63.000,00 (€ 73.394,30) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Antonio Santin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vox Populi beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 277.200,00 (€ 258.317,03) versteigert wurde.
