Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2006 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction 20th Century British and Irish Art, which included the work The Proposal by Anthony Green. The price achieved of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 4,425.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anthony Green - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Chinese Lantern, which sold at auction in March 2007 for USD 16,800.00 (€ 12,561.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2006 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion 20th Century British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Proposal von Anthony Green zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 4.425,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Anthony Green mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Chinese Lantern beobachtet, die im März 2007 für USD 16.800,00 (€ 12.561,69) versteigert wurde.
