Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Ada Green'S Bedside Table And Sunflower by Anthony Green was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,954.98). Admittedly, works by Anthony Green have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Chinese Lantern in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 16,800.00 (€ 12,561.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Ada Green'S Bedside Table And Sunflower von Anthony Green im Oktober 2013 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.954,98) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anthony Green auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Chinese Lantern im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.800,00 (€ 12.561,69).
