Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Christies in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Portrait of Cyril Flower, Lord Battersea by Anthony Frederick Augustus Sandys. The price achieved of GBP 44,100.00 (€ 50,801.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Anthony Frederick Augustus Sandys have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work British love'S Shadow in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 494,500.00 (€ 343,976.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of Cyril Flower, Lord Battersea von Anthony Frederick Augustus Sandys zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 44.100,00 (€ 50.801,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anthony Frederick Augustus Sandys auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit British love'S Shadow im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 494.500,00 (€ 343.976,07).
