This artwork by Anthony Frederick Augustus Sandys achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in January last year. In the Royal & Noble auction, the work Rose, Portrait of Mary Emma Jones sold for GBP 27,720.00 (€ 33,225.93) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00.
