It changed hands for a price of USD 494,500.00 (€ 343,976.07) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, British love'S Shadow is the most expensive artwork by Anthony Frederick Augustus Sandys that we have observed at auctions so far.
