Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Head of a young woman, probably Marianne Shingles by Anthony Frederick Augustus Sandys was sold in the The Robin and Rupert Hambro Collection auction at Christies in London in June this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,664.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony Frederick Augustus Sandys achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British love'S Shadow in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 494,500.00 (€ 343,976.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Head of a young woman, probably Marianne Shingles von Anthony Frederick Augustus Sandys wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion The Robin and Rupert Hambro Collection bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.664,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anthony Frederick Augustus Sandys erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit British love'S Shadow im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 494.500,00 (€ 343.976,07).
