Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Annette Messager achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Voiles sold for USD 4,410.00 (€ 3,755.43) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Annette Messager achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 9 piques in June 2012 with an auction result of EUR 58,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Annette Messager erzielte im März 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Voiles für USD 4.410,00 (€ 3.755,43) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Annette Messager erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 9 piques im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 58.600,00.
