Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Les Tortures Volontaires (1972), 2013 by Annette Messager for GBP 750.00 (€ 840.91). This price was achieved in the auction Edition Gerd Hatje: Contemporary Photographs, Prints & Multiples at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Annette Messager achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 9 piques in June 2012 with an auction result of EUR 58,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Les Tortures Volontaires (1972), 2013 von Annette Messager für GBP 750,00 (€ 840,91) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Edition Gerd Hatje: Contemporary Photographs, Prints & Multiples bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Annette Messager erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 9 piques im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 58.600,00.
