Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Anne Truitt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2021. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Parva Xxxi sold for USD 168,750.00 (€ 138,387.73) - well above the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anne Truitt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autumn Dryad, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 567,000.00 (€ 549,258.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Anne Truitt erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Parva Xxxi für USD 168.750,00 (€ 138.387,73) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Anne Truitt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Autumn Dryad beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 567.000,00 (€ 549.258,94) versteigert wurde.
