Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Foreign Shore by Anne Truitt. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 31,875.00 (€ 30,877.65) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anne Truitt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Autumn Dryad in November last year with an auction result of USD 567,000.00 (€ 549,258.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Foreign Shore von Anne Truitt zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 31.875,00 (€ 30.877,65) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anne Truitt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Autumn Dryad im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 567.000,00 (€ 549.258,94).
