Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) / Contemporaries: Voices from East and West (Evening Sale), which included the work Tomato Pickers by Anita Magsaysay-Ho. The price achieved of HKD 6,100,000.00 (€ 666,452.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 4,800,000.00 – 6,800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anita Magsaysay-Ho - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work NAG-IIPON NG DAYAMI (GLEANERS), which sold at auction in November 2016 for HKD 13,860,000.00 (€ 1,688,933.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) / Contemporaries: Voices from East and West (Evening Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tomato Pickers von Anita Magsaysay-Ho zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 6.100.000,00 (€ 666.452,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 4.800.000,00 – 6.800.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Anita Magsaysay-Ho mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit NAG-IIPON NG DAYAMI (GLEANERS) beobachtet, die im November 2016 für HKD 13.860.000,00 (€ 1.688.933,64) versteigert wurde.
