This artwork by Anita Magsaysay-Ho achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2015. In the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Gathering Poinsettias sold for HKD 3,640,000.00 (€ 427,105.69) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 2,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anita Magsaysay-Ho - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work NAG-IIPON NG DAYAMI (GLEANERS), which sold at auction in November 2016 for HKD 13,860,000.00 (€ 1,688,933.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 82 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Anita Magsaysay-Ho erzielte im Mai 2015 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Gathering Poinsettias für HKD 3.640.000,00 (€ 427.105,69) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 2.000.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Anita Magsaysay-Ho mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit NAG-IIPON NG DAYAMI (GLEANERS) beobachtet, die im November 2016 für HKD 13.860.000,00 (€ 1.688.933,64) versteigert wurde.
